Under the Tree Child Care Centre
The Family Education and Support Centre
WAITLIST CLOSED
We have made the difficult decision to close our waitlist as a result of its size. Our program prioritizes vulnerable families (i.e., low-income families, single parents, young parents, Indigenous families, newcomers to Canada, and families with children who have neurodivergent needs). If you feel this may apply to you, please complete the survey below and/or send us an email.

ABOUT US
Approved $10/Day Child Care
The Family Education and Support Centre is proud to introduce Under the Tree Child Care Centre as a program of our agency. It is our mission to facilitate growth and development by providing quality information, education, and resources to our families. We offer holistic emergent programming for families with children aged 8-weeks to 12 years old. Our unique program is intended to help connect our families to our ever growing community and all the resources it has to offer.
As an agency, we recognize the many challenges vulnerable families face when trying to access child care services. These vulnerable families include single parents, young parents, low income families, Indigenous families, newcomers to Canada, and families with children who have neurodivergent needs. To help better support vulnerable families in our community, our agency has collectively decided to prioritize vulnerable families into our program.
We encourage curiosity, creative play, and inclusivity. We offer a healthy environment that promotes social/emotional development and balanced mental wellbeing. We believe in child led curriculum and that our teachers should be there alongside them on their path of development. We believe that children reach their full potential when there is full encouragement from the child, teacher, parent, and community. We believe Under the Tree is a place for the whole family, where everyone's opinions on policies, curriculum, and development of the centre will be valued.
We are a registered charity and non-profit society, and while government funding covers most of our costs, we continue to raise funds to support our programs.
